"I recently booked a residential Ayurveda package with Jo to help calm my nervous system. Afterwards, when writing to a friend, I said: “I feel like a bliss ball!” That truly captures it — I felt deeply nurtured, relaxed, and purposeful. My spirit was soaring after being made to feel so welcome. The day began with a detailed consultation — a follow-up for me, as I had seen Jo about a month earlier. The Ayurvedic treatment that followed focused on deep relaxation and nurturing my heart. It was absolutely heavenly. Warm towels, beautiful oils, and an hour and a half of being guided deeper and deeper into peace. The oils smelled so divine I bought some to take home as a reminder. Jo’s skill in both Ayurvedic assessment and therapeutic massage meant my nervous system let go easily. I genuinely felt each cell smiling. Having the space to myself afterwards was a gift. I could journal, stretch with some yoga, or walk straight out into the peaceful countryside. The next morning, as I ate breakfast, a pair of Indian runner ducks wandered up to the door to say hello. The autumn leaves were just turning, and the bright red crab apples glowed against the blue sky, rolling green hills, and organic vegetable garden. It was stunning, and my spirit welcomed the respite. Food is also an important part of the experience, and Jo brought me a fresh kitchari that was both delicious and full of Ayurvedic nourishment. I’ve already booked again for December!’ (Victoria Woodward, November 2025)
