Pinda Sweda is a deeply therapeutic Ayurvedic treatment that combines the healing power of heat with the medicinal qualities of herbal poultices. Warm, herb‑filled boluses are rhythmically massaged over the whole body or applied with focused attention to specific joints or areas of pain. The gentle heat helps soften tissues, improve circulation, and loosen accumulated toxins, while the herbs support detoxification and nourishment at a deeper level. This treatment is known to reduce swelling, ease water retention, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and relieve muscular and joint discomfort. It can also support the reduction of excess fat tissue and improve mobility in stiff or painful areas. The warmth of the poultices creates a profoundly relaxing experience, helping to calm the nervous system and restore a sense of ease throughout the body. Your session includes the cost of 4 herbal poultices, which are stored for you and reused across three treatments: the minimum recommended to experience the full therapeutic benefits. Although highly beneficial, Pinda Sweda is not suitable for everyone. The treatment should be avoided during fever, acute infection, active inflammation, open wounds, rashes, sunburn, or any contagious skin condition. It is also contraindicated for individuals with uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe heart conditions, acute arthritis flare‑ups, or immediately after surgery. Avoid treatment during pregnancy unless specifically advised by a qualified practitioner, as heat therapies may not be appropriate for all stages. Caution is advised for those with very sensitive skin, varicose veins, diabetes with reduced sensation, or conditions aggravated by heat (such as certain Pitta‑dominant imbalances). People with low blood pressure, dizziness, or heat intolerance may require shorter sessions or cooler poultices. In these cases, modifications or alternative therapies may be more suitable.
